Default Water Depth

When looking at my LR3 information, it frequently mentional a very high water fording depth capability. Looking at the illustrations, the water depth is pretty much up at the top of the STD tire rims, which puts it what appears to be a couple inches up above the bottom of the door sils. For those of you who have attempted it, does the LR3 door seals manage to keep the water out so that it does not pour in around the floor mats. I'd assume that must be the case, but just did not want to find out the hard way.

with the air suspension in off road mode you can ford to an recomended depth of 700mm. i imagine slightly more than this would be a major problem

The seals are very capable of keeping the interior dry. I've seen an LR3 up to the top of it's wheels with nothing inside.

i beleve the seal is fairly tight. they use alot better seals than what we use over here. i have seen a jag turned into a swimming pool with verry little water leaking out; you could actually fill up the inside with the doors closed. so a little h2o over the bottom of the door should be ok its not like you are parking it their for a week and the vehicle will be moving so you should stay dry.

Fording depth is important if you plan to cross creeks and streams along a trail. I think it was 30 inches or 24 inches at 5mp.
