Can you bring the vehicle back?
C1168/1 (pin1) is the lin bus communication line from the front to the rear climate control modules,
a logical place to start given the lin bus fault supplied by the dealer tech, and its location in the vehicle.
The front distribution, and blend, and recirculation motors are hard wired to the front climate control module.
they use a lin, or k bus for comms. faults with the servos typically flag for the respective servos, not lin.
it would be nice to see all the stored codes. I would suspect you have more than one issue with this vehicle.
What does not function with the rear climate control? Just the blower Motor?

Thank you again for all the help I am starting to feel better about this mess!!

first on the sunroof, open it and go to the 2 front corners you will see the drain holes, blow compressed air in there to clear them then dump water in them and it should run out the bottom of the a pillars, look in tech section for pics and how to, if these are clogged which is common, when it rains enough the water puddles in the headliner and will run onto the center console shifter area radio and nav., happened to my wife
invest in a good solder irin and solder, flux shrink tube and wire, that blue tape in your pics are splices, tug on em they will probly come apart and need to be stripped back and resolder
buy a good size tube dielectric grease, any connectors you can get to clean with electronics spray cleaner then slather with that dielecetric grease and plug back together this also goes for under the car and under the hood,
esp the trans ecm behind the batterywater runs into that connector and by by trans
this is all very overwhelming and frustrating so if you are not up to all this and the electrical gremlins continue i suggest trading it in
unfortunatly perfect example why we recommend the rover dealer inspect the car before you buy it
good news is once this is all straight the car is awsome to drive

Getting that carpet dry and stopping water ingress is first step
Blow out the sunroof drains, make sure they are draining outside, pull the black a pillar covers outside Rtv glue around all holes for the clips , pull Beth sides of front carpet up best you can and wring out the water then sop it up, it takes forever to dry, leave sills off and no floor mats, windows cracked on nice warm day when no rain
Look in lr3 tech section

I'm working on drying out the carpet like you suggested it's already a lot better than it was last weekend.!
Thanks !!
