Another 10k km driven.
Changed oil, oil filter, engine air and cabin filters.

Also replaced the D3 stalks with D4 versions from a MY13 (CA). Easy job, nothing to it.

Interesting, any new features that come with those or was it a crime of opportunity?

Everything old works in my MY05. 3-flash turn signal, etc. just as previously.

The old stalk had issues with its micro switch when attempting to stop the rear wiper, one had to push it quite far for it to stop. So I decided to figure out something else.

With these the button at the end enables spray and wipe in the rear, pulling towards you is spray forward, etc. I think these are more intuitive and almost identical to the ones we have on our second car (a Volvo).

I finally did the last remaining fluid change and did the metal transmission conversion pan. It wasn’t the worst Sunday project but definitely more of a gatorade job than a beer job. You can get the plastic pan out by cutting the filter neck but you will still need to unbolt the t-case mount and jack up the drivetrain about an inch or so to fit the new metal pan. If I had to do this again I would lift it from the start to have more room to work.

Put this ladder on. I can see why Powerful UK stopped selling it. The bottom piece that attaches to the hatch isn't very well conceived

Other than a little surface rest, the frontrunner ladder has been working great on the three Rovers we have them on.

Sorry you are having problems with your ladder.

I almost got that ladder, but I never quite like how it had that kink to the left with the lower half. Instead I went with Ezee Awn (South Africa). It all aluminum so it is crazy light and I am by no means a small guy at 300lbs, but its holding up great. If in time you feel you want to try something else, I really cant recommend it enough.
