Hi. So as a temp measure I connected the end of the hose to the thermostat then spliced in with the existing hose that goes to the manifold - until I can figure out.
So I was also told by Atlantic British that taking the throttle body off would give me access but I just don’t see how this is possible. I am thinking the intake manifold has to come off.
I could be wrong and and would like to be so.
Any way let me know how you tackled this.
Army ranger - if taking off the manifold , how best to do this?
It helps, a lot, but no. You can remove it by carefully sliding it back once the clamp is free. Then you can attach strings to the new one as a way of pulling it once lined up. You have to lubricate with straight coolant or something that will dissolve easily once coolant is in the line. But basically line it up very carefully then pull the strings to pull the line onto the nipple. It can help to slightly trim the hose opening and make the last 1mm of it a little wider. Obviously the t-stat housing/crossover tube has to be removed for this - best to put a new one in.
