What LR3 Parts Are Most Valuable?
I recently purchased a 2005 Land Rover LR3 that I am about to take to the junkyard. It is crashed from the left side doors and has a bad alternator. What parts are worth removing from this vehicle before I take it to the junkyard?
Well that's quite the open-ended question. Lots of parts are worth removing....are you trying to sell them or keep them for another Rover you might have? Where are you located, roughly?
I am located in Orange County, California. I just want to remove the parts that are worth the most before I junk this car. I can't remove the engine or transmission because they are too heavy, but I am interested in removing the small parts such as the ignition coils, computer modules, and air compressor. However, I do not know what else there is on this car that is small and worth something.
For sale or for yourself (like maybe you have another LR3)....???
There are TONS of parts I would want from an LR3 if it's in good shape, mostly cosmetic. A-Pillar trim, cowling, bumper panel/cover, wheel arches, dashboard....all kinds of stuff. Shift lever, steering wheel, the list goes on and on. I think the instrument cluster is another item that a lot of people seek.

Unfortunately, the interior is a bit trashed because the car has a broken driver's side window that has been left outside for a month in the heavy rain. So the interior smells really bad. The dashboard is cracked up. I am trying to sell off parts as I do not own another LR3.
