Yes SIR! you got it! I am already running 285/60/18 tires and they are fine as is with stock offset. I want them to be a bit more flush, not "poke" per se but just flush. What I am worried about is them hitting the fender/wheel arch during articulation AFTER the spacers are installed.

I think the 1.15" BORA is the way to go, good quality.

When this subject came up on the discussion board of a LR3 owners group page on facebook regarding tires, wheels and spacers; I made a video to post there. I just posted it on you tube as the file would not upload here.

Take particular interest near the end when I make it around the vehicle to the driver's rear and explain why "wide stance" and "sheet metal" don't always mix well

Cheers

"If" you go with some wheel spacers make absolutely sure they're Hub Centric! You'll pay more vs those simply sold as spacers, but it will retain the factory Hub Centric setup.

I got a set of American Racing wheels from my brother that came with his LR3. I'm currently running them on my 99 D2. They sit out about 1.5inches vs the OEM wheels.

Thanks! I am aware of the FB conversation you are referring to.

I have 285/60/18 AT tires and they rub slightly at full lock only, I am considering 1" or 1.25" spacers but nothing bigger.

Wow that video is a PSA on why not to go taller than 32" OD. I think 285 series tires can be okay if they are not as tall. Many of us (including myself) have run 285/60R18 with no issues...it's the combination of taller and wider that create interference problems.

I'm getting ready to run 1.25 spacers that I have turned down the hub centric portion to fit a set of 18in D2 wheels. I'm hoping to run 275/65/18s. I am also running a set of Proud Rhino lift rods.

So essentially they are not hub centric on the wheel side? That's not a good idea.
