Default Why Move Range Rover Sport discussions to Range Rover Section?

I have been posting on Land Rover Forums for years. We currently have a LR3 and a Range Rover Sport that is coming back to life. The LR3 and the Range Rover Sport have so much in common, engines, trannys, diffs, cooling systems, HVAC, dash, instrument clusters, electronics, I could go on. The Range Rover and the Range Rover Sport have almost nothing in common, except for Range Rover on the hood.

To the Moderators or whomever moved my post, why move it? The Range Rover Sport is not a Range Rover. The Range Rover section gets virtually no traffic. There are few posts for Range Rover Sports. The LR3 crowd is knowledgeable, eager to share information and incredibly polite. With so much in common, why move threads that address subjects that are LR3 and Range Rover Sport relevant?

If the moderators are up for suggestions, I would propose that the LR3 discussions and the Range Rover Sport discussion be combined and leave the Range Rover discussions to the Range Rovers. Thanks, Phil

Fair point. I wonder how much knowledge we are leaving on the table by not co-mingling the two model forums...

Seems like a reasonable request to me...

Thanks Tom. I would suggest that the Range Rover Sport discussions stay in the LR3 area. They really do share almost every system. Only real differences are the body shape, everything that counts is pretty much the same. Phil
