Will it void my warranty...
I am assuming you have the extended warranty right? If you do avoiding the service may or may not void it. I would just call the dealership and ask. My experiences with most vehicles is that it is mandatory for the services, and if you avoid them it will void the warranty. LR could be different but, I doubt it. Once again, call in and just ask or maybe someone on the forums who knows for sure will chime in.
Yes, if you don't do the 60K and lets say the tranny fails, you won't get it replaced for free.
Why would you not do the service? Cost? Do it yourself and keep all your receipts.

I have no problem doing the work. I just don't want to pay the dealer the $900 to do it. They wanted $280 to change the doggone battery. $140 battery, $140 to loosen two clamps, pull the old battery, drop in the new battery and re-tighten the two clamps. The same procedure any auto parts store will do for free. That's rediculous. What do I need to do to do it myself and still keep the warranty? Just keep the receipts for all the fluids and filters?
