Default yea more codes !

Well the 05 had a hiccu earlier today that self cleared, went out this afternoon and as my wife parked and got out dash went haywire, hdc suspension down trans disabled ugh not again say it ain't so

I pulled some codes

Uo122 dynamic control module missing?
Uo416 variable control module
Uo121 abs module
Po504 brake switch a / b signal corrilation?

I am sure there's more, pulled pass side kick , everything seems OK, pulled the sill and tugged on the splices nothing came apart, all my problems thus far traced back to these areas

Any ideas?

Worth checking both battery condition and alternator out put. The lack of good charge in the battery has been known to cause problems in these systems. It happened to me various systems would flag up a problem, even went into limp home mode a couple of times, with no other obvious cause, changed battery and problems stopped. That was 3 months ago.

Again a low charge problems can cause all sorts of system problems. Using a multi-meter check battery capacity with engine off, then with engine running. IIRC with engine off battery should show something like 12.6v and with engine running you should get around 15+v unless alternator is faulty.

13.9 volts at battery connections tight, no load

12.64 engine off

So is there some way to be sure the alt is bad besides voltage test at idle since iirc the ecm is the voltage regulator?? Before I drop a few hundred on an alt

Voltages seem in the range. As I recall you've done significant rewiring on this thing from various problems... I would first be looking at the connectors and brake light switch / wiring (I imagine you put a new switch on) and ensure all the brake lights are actually working.

That's my 2c to start..

Alpha might not know the background on this, but I consider his opinions seriously.. but... 15+v no-- not here are least. The only time I got up to 14.9 then 15 was with a bad battery. Luckily I have circuit protection for all my toys, so it kicked in and shut off power..

bbyer is the charging system guru of sorts here... but I suspect it's related to something else.

I wonder if this may be a high speed canbus issue. I know there have been posts by roverguy7 in the past on troubleshooting canbus problems. You may want to dig and see what you can find.
