Default 18x8 LR3 oem wheels on LR4?

OK folks,
I've seen conflicting info on several forums and was hoping to get some insight into why or why not? the idea of LR3 oem 18x8 et53, wheels would work on my 2011 LR4 5.0L V8 US version . I am replacing the 19x8 et53 wheels because there just aren't enough tire options for the look and mission I am after. I already have options for a lift and I am looking at 275/65R18 or 265/65R18 size tires. in lames theory wouldn't an offset of 53mm work if they are the same offset? I'm new at modifying my LR so please be gentle 😂

Several posters say go "compo's" - and although that may be a good option, sorry, I just don't like them. so lets not even talk about them. I wanted Mudtech Raids but they are just too costly to ship to US, and received conflicting data from several posters in the forums from the folks at Mudtech that they will and will not fit the LR4 I have. So I didn't want to pay $$$$ to get them only to be the US Guinea pig that realizes there was a communication gap between English and Italian 😬. Love those Mudtechs though! unless someone can shed light on them also? they claim to have et45 and they claim to clear the 5.0L V8 Brake calipers?

So... will they or will they not work and why?

They will but you will need to use 30mm spacers. The brake size is the issue with going to the LR3 wheels on the LR4. I am going with evocorse Dakar inspired 18 inch wheels. Yes they are not cheap but no need for spacers and are built to Dakar rally standards. So they will last.

why does it need spacers? 53mm offset is the same. if the OEM wheel on the LR4 is the same offset, theoretically shouldn't it work without spacers? or did I miss something?

Caliper clearance would likely be the issue. The LR4 has bigger rotors and calipers than the LR3. The spacer may push the wheel out enough to make it clear.

Brake component clearance is the issue. I'm running the stock 18" LR3 on 265/65/18 tires and I have to run the 1.25" spacer. Even with the spacers it's a tight fit but it works just fine. This was a much more cost effective route for 18" wheels instead of Compomotives or others so I went with it. Been very happy so far.
