Default 2011 LR4 HSE Ticking Noise on Startup

My 2011 LR4 has started making a ticking noise on startup. Goes away after about ten minutes. Any ideas what this is? Thanks in advance for any help.

Mine does this same thing! Almost only when it's very cold, hasn't happened in the summer.

I've so far found no exact cause but my suspicion is that the fan clutch is failing to disengage at very cold temperatures.

Interesting! The mornings I have only noticed it recently and the weather hear has been extremely cold some mornings. As the weather temps get warmer here I will see if it continues. Thx for the reply. We checked everything over and didn't notice anything amiss ourselves.

Have you had your timing chains guides and tensioners replaced yet?

Current temp is 53 degrees. Just started it from cold for the first time today and no ticking. A quick internet search has me leaning towards fan clutch noise.

I had my chain, guides and tensioners replaced last year when I bought the vehicle. So I'm fairly sure it's not that, unless the dealer's shop messed up, but I had the work inspected by a reputable indy shop here.

I think the pace of it is too slow to be chains or guides. I was just curious with mileage you reported if they had been or not.
