Hello all. Newbie here ! I have a 2011 Lr4 having issues with opening the rear hatch! I have checked the cable to the actuator and everything seems to be connect and working. Here’s the issues

1. I cannot open from the outside. When I hit the outside button to open I can hear it but it doesn’t open
2. If I don’t slam the hatch hard enough a “hatch open” light comes on

called the dealer. They said it was the actuator

any help would be great. Thanks !

I've replaced both the actuator and the latch on a RR. If I remember correctly you can remove the unit and plug it into the other side and confirm that it's bad.


Ill have to try that ! Everything seems to be moving when I hit the bottom but never really thought about the latch !
