Default 2012 LR4 aftermarket

Hi,

I just recently purchased a base model LR4. It has a few added features but the ones I miss the most from my old car are the heated seats and the backup camera.

Does anyone know if you can add either of those features to a base 2012 LR4 (no navigation)?

Thanks

I doubt you could add heating to the seats without substantial cost. For backup camera several GPS dash models (eg some of the new Garmin) can be linked to a wireless backup camera so you can see backup view on the GPS. They aren't cheap but a very easy fit vs trying to wire something into the vehicle

you might want to check a schematic it is possible the heater coils are in the seats, just not wired or activated like on A d2. it doesn't really pay LR to have seats built with and without heater coils, so they have them all built the same and turn them on as needed.

If that's the case, then the wiring harness should also have a connection leading to where the switch would need to be in the dash, correct? Is it very hard to install a switch?

I'm asking just out of curiosity. Our LR4 has heated seats, but what you propose is intriguing, because it implies that next time one could go with a cheaper model and then upgrade at home.
