Default 2012 LR4 trailer Hitch Compatibility

I’m wondering if all LR4’s are configured for a trailer hitch. I looked in the storage compartment and there is no hitch ball there. I looked behind the bumper cover and there is no standard 2” receiver there. I looked up the LR4 hitch and see that it is a special design. I don’t know if what is currently behind the bumper cover will accept the correct LR4 hitch? Any help appreciated.

Land Rover has a special hitch which pulls 7700lbs with a 700lb tongue weight costs near $500. Google LR4 hitches and there are bolt-ons for much less but only for 5000lbs tow and 500lbs tongue weight. There is a Curt bolt on receiver for LR4s that bolts to the frame and pulls 6000lbs with 600lb tongue weight. i have the Rover one which gave me trouble and actually dropped out with trailer attached as soon as I got out of the driveway. i bought one from Atlantic British that bolts into the Rover hitch area, just make sure you use locktite and he right torque specs they give you. mine started rattling after two yrs, so i locktite and retorqued, been good 4 yrs. i am looking into the Curt receiver hitch for flat bed trailer towing long distances. The last two the spar has to be removed for mounting access, then can be put back into position.
