I have been working my way through various oil changes and have a question regarding the transfer case oil capacity. Everywhere I have researched and read on line suggest it has a 1.5 lite capacity. I have drained mine, and out came 800 ml. I thought, oh it's low and been losing oil. But no, when I filled it back up, in went 800 ml. I tried draining on an angle, level, but nothing more came out, so it now seems 800 ml is what it needed.

I am confused, any advice or others experience welcome.

 

Sorry , I have answered my own question. From the LR 4 workshop manual , it is 0.75 liters. But on forums you find a lot of talk about 1.5 liters.
