Default Any experiences with Navihua?

Anyone have any experience with Navihua? Seems like they are making an aftermarket radio for the LR4 that has a Tesla style vertical layout, and an interesting bezel surround.

Hi Ms Hamilton,

I installed the one from YANAV after a lot of research, mainly on the uk forums. The system is an upgrade and pretty fast with full functionality of the original LR stuff. In fact I only use the CarPlay option on the new screen and then default back to the LR screen/system for everything else.

One thing I will stress is that if you're not comfortable taking apart a large portion of the centre console and driver/passenger trim then it may be a bit difficult to install. Also there is some delicate electrical work, in as much as removing and dismantling the original screen as the new one essentially piggy backs onto the original Land Rover system.

I'm in the process of putting together a real world 6 month review together on this upgrade/modification.

Hope it helps you a little,

Stu.

Stu, do the "wings" on the bezel protrude from the dash? In your picture, they look like they might be proud of the dash -- at least at the top. But it might just be the picture. Is the overall fit-n-finish same as OEM?

They do protrude slightly.

As for the fit, that really depends on how well the dash is aligned not just the screen. There are several pieces of trim that butt up to the new head unit and each one can be adjusted slightly.

For overall quality this is as good an aftermarket option as you’ll find for these now “old” vehicles.

The trim piece is of a lighter gauge plastic than the original LR trim though.

I’ll get some more photos later today if you wish, I’m on double baby duty at the moment.

Ha, thanks for that, kids all asleep

Tesla Screen bezel protrudes about 3-5 mm from flush

Tesla Screen bezel protrudes about 5-8 mm inwards from either side

Hope it helps.

Stu have you lost any functionality, or 4x4 information etc?

There’s no loss of function at all. Everything is there. The version I have is occasionally glitchy but it’s every couple of hours of operation it drops the car play and goes to the Home Screen.

I have it setup still using the Lr mic and speakers for phone calls.
