Default Bought MY16 MR4 HSE - Questions

Hello,

We just bought a '16 LR4 HSE in Santorini/Almond with:
Vision Package/Climate Comfort/Tow/Sirius/In Apps.

I have a couple questions maybe you all could help with. I came from an '09 Q7 and there was a VAGCOM tool you could use to tweak settings such as eliminating the nag screens on the NAV, seat belt chime, etc.

1) Is there such a tool for LR4s? Is there a LR4 equivalent?
2) Are there common hacks for the car? For instance I just figured out how to disable the seat belt chime.
3) My rear view mirrors don't dip on reverse. I read that this was discontinued in '12. Is this true, or a setting?

Thanks in advance!

That repeats what is in the manual. I don't see the menu item or option in the settings. We're going in Tuesday to get roof rails installed. I'll ask then and report back.

thx

Land rover changed from the OBD II standard to the CAN tool standard a while back so for instance the 3's and 4's wont work with some tools. Not sure what kind of weird tool you were using before.

Check out GAP IID, they make interfaces specifically for these trucks.

$$$ though. Some dealers will feign ignorance as most owners won't use stuff like this or in rare cases know exactly what you're talking about and encourage you to do cool stuff.

In terms of "hacks" the seatbelt bong comes to mind, the "hunting mode" for the interior lights is another, HVAC adjustments, sunroof reset adjustments, etc.
