Default Buying LR4 Advice

Hello everyone
I am looking for some advice please. I am having to sell my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and am looking to buy an LR4 as I have always loved the shape and need something better suited to a family, rather than the convertible Jeep.

I have found an LR4 5.0L V8 2011 with 93,000km for ~$140,000 (Singapore) which I really like the look of. Unfortunately I have frame of reference in terms of running one of these, things to watch out for, known problems, etc so it would be really great if you guys could throw some advice my way, I would be really grateful for that.

Link to car (for those that want to look): https://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=1048137

Thanks
Chris

Ideally:
  • all buttons work, try going into low gear and back
  • compressor raises vehicle up to off-road and back down without errors (you’ll know if it won’t)
  • it has a complete service history, oil changed at regular intervals
  • Front and rear differential fluid, transfer box fluids changed
  • gearbox fluids changed (megaflush preferably)
  • since it’s an early V8 that timing chain guides/tensioners have been replaced, if these fail your expensive vehicle’s engine is scrap

as for the price…91000 euro equivalent for a 10 year old vehicle 👀😱

Hey Kajtzu

Thanks so much for the response, very much appreciated, I will have this with me when I go to view the LR.

Let's not talk about the price though, it is out of control here how much cars cost. I have been here 13 years (from UK) and only just coming to terms with it, it hurts!!

Thanks again.
