Copart LR4s-not finding much forum info
being a person who isn't afraid of a project, I've been trolling though the local marketplace and now expanded out to Copart. Having done a search I'm finding few threads and nothing current, so I'm curious, looking for opinions and such.
Found a decent looking LR4 at a Copart auction site fairly close ( 1 1/2 hours away) the listing says it runs and drives, needs a headlight, an airbag and probably a seat belt given that the drivers side airbag deployed. Since I have my DD I can rehab it at a leisurely pace. Has anyone out there picked up a LR through Copart, how did it go, was it well represented? It would appear that I can't research sold prices, which would be handy. These auction all happen while I'm at work and there's about zero chance of me getting a look in person.
Can I reset the SRS using a Gap?
It's still in the "upcoming lot" status so it's not like I have to decide right away. Ideally they would put a decent "buy itnow" on it and make it easier.

My DD is a $500 LR3 bought off the side of the road, so I am familiar with cheap meaning it's the down payment on the work that remains to be done.
The worst LR3 I ever bought was also the most expensive, so paying a lot still doesn't guarantee the best results either.

I was digging around and found a website that lists the selling price for Copart and IAAI auctions. LR4's going for between $250 to actual money.
And then looking at copart I see a LR3 that will likely never drive again but has some parts I can use. 18" wheels and an uncracked dash pad.

I would absolutely discount anything they say about a vehicle on copart, and only buy one you've actually seen yourself. I shop around for them, and will only buy one that either I can get started when I check it out or if I know I could break even on it selling parts off of it.
