Did I Fry my coil driver / ecu?
Just replaced my valve cover and forgot to tighten up the ground wire that bolts into the front of the head. Getting a fault on coil 6 and 8 and swapping them doesn’t change anything.
The exact code is a P0356, permanent ignition coil, primary control circuit open, and it will not clear from my scanner.
I’ve read that the coil driver in the ecu can get fried. How do I test this? If I did, is this where I would get someone to clone my ecu on to another?
Also, there is the slight chance that a rat several wire so my question is, how do I test the water is coming off of the coil packs? With a program for continuity running back to the east you or for Holmes of resistance? Well, I don’t think this is the case I figure it’s worth exploring, but right now, those codes are permanently stored and won’t erase. In my gut tells me it was from the lack of proper grounding.
