Dim Headlights
Hello to the LR4-um!
My wife drives a '16 LR4, currently at 95K miles. I hadn't driven it for a while, but took it to run an errand last night and found the headlights to be abysmal. Do they dim over time? Has anybody resolved a gradual decline in the strength?
I'm wondering if replacement bulbs will do the trick to fix this and restore the headlight function to its former glory, but am curious if there are other drivers behind this.
Thanks!
Joe

Two things - yes, xenons do dim with age. They can also start to have a purple glow. Also, the headlight glass (plastic) does does eventually fade due to sand and UV. Former is easy, replace the HIDs with new. For latter, there are headlight restoration kits for example.
