Smile First time buyer LR4 - What should I know

I've yet to own a Land Rover, but I've been looking at LR4s and really want one. Test drove a 2012 today with 95k on it. Seemed pretty nice. What should I know about it, or check out before buying? I've been told the suspension is a typical issue. Is there anyway to check this out?

get a pre-purchase inspection. Check control arms, suspension if it has the v8 if the timing updates have been done etc

Insist on a complete CarFax (or buy one yourself): these will show all work that has been done at the dealer level and number of previous owners (bought and leased). Assuming the battery, tires, brakes, oil, and filters are renewed or in near perfect order, worry the lower control arm, electronic parking brake, the timing chain tensioners, water pump, and pump that raises and lowers the vehicle. The truck should pull smoothly with no hesitation and smooth down shifts. Tires should show no uneven wear, nor pull to either side on a smooth highway and when braking.
