What bulb do you use in the main front headlight (standard dipped full headlight) on the LR4? I replaced mine with Philips H11C about 6 months ago and one has already failed. Did I just get unlucky, or are they really that poor for life in exchange for the improved light clarity?

 

Might want to think back and remember if you accidently touched the bulb with anything when installing. Bench, finger, dirty towel etc. These can lead to premature life. Otherwise take bulb back for warranty refund or replacement, check package for warranty, as they are warrantied.

 

It's a good point - I was very careful on not touching the bulb at all. But it's a good idea to try a warranty return.
I'm using the higher performance (higher colour temperature) bulbs that give a better (less yellow) light - they say that they don't last as long but I think 6 months is still premature
