Default Landmark odd long beep.

I just bought a Landmark (not sure why this would be specific to landmark, but that's what I have). When I'm driving, with audio off, I periodically hear a beep; only early on in driving...first few minutes. It's like a hearing test beep. It's very faint, but high pitched. I can hear it while I have headphones in listening to a podcast.

My wife also noticed it today when she was in the car with me, so I'm almost halfway certain I'm not crazy.

I'm just curious if anyone else has this. I never had anything like this in my 2008 LR3 HSE, but it didn't have as much electronic gadgetry as my 2016 LR4 Lux

My 2016 Lux doesn't do that, you should have the dealer look into it. could be a faulty parking sensor causing the beeping.

sorry to jack your thread but how different is the Landmark vs. the Lux. Besides the mood lighting what else is different?

AFAIK, there isn't a difference between Lux and Landmark. There are various features in any given landmark that differ, but the trim is really the thing, from my understanding, that makes it a landmark. I know that I had to search for one that had a tow package and was white but inside it was the same as the others I drove without that package.

also, found this out after the fact; the tow hitch receiver from the LR3 is the same as the one in the LR4. My sales drone told me they stopped supplying the receiver (with an LR4 with a tow package) so I took my old one from my trade in. Turns out they are supplied and my sales drone was full of ****e; but that's OK. I'd rather keep my new receiver pristine.

I too heard this beep. I also have the Landmark and at first i thought it was the carpool fasttrak device. It kind of sounded like that but a little fainter and sounded like it was coming from passenger side. Have you figured out what the sound is?

Could it be the lane closeness warning or traffic coming up on pass side?

I haven't. I'll bring it up when I take it in for it's first service. It's not annoying enough for me to make a special trip.

The warnings are much louder. It might be where the tone is generated, but it's not associated with a warning. The few times I've heard it nothing was around at all. Also, as I stated, it's very very faint (like a hearing test), I just have sensitive hearing, especially to high frequencies.
