Welcome.
If you follow my lead and include some information in your signature block, it would be helpful.
We know nothing about your vehicle to offer suggestion. Year, mileage, tires, suspension mods, maintenance history...
Clunks in the transmission typically mean it's overdue for a fluid change.
Cheers.

Yeah sorry not thinking bought the lr in November last year
had 88000 mile on it had a bit of service history not much to say about any repairs but going on its mots its had through it life its had one advisory which were a worn tyre
had it for about 3 weeks then it broke down so fuel pressure pump and all the injector failed lucky it was still under warranty so had all work done cost around £6000 timing chain as well so it's a
discovery 4 luxury 2014 not really much more can tell you
Cheers wayne

The most cost conscience approach, I would start with:
(assuming you have not inadvertently selected a special driving program, hill descent, etc)
Take it in to a specialist/dealer.
Confirm what codes are being thrown, and ask for all of these codes!
Ask for the fluid and filter change.
(truly, while under there I’d also do the PTU fluid change)
Ask for the TCM reset. (This can only be done with the correct software)
Drive the vehicle as per the “break in schedule” in the owner’s manual.
