LR4 50,000 service
#2
Service intervals are at 15K intervals. Overdue for 45K mark. Price unknown, do my own. Manual has intervals and what is done. $130 an hr. here in St. Louis. Your service advisor will tell you. They have a chart on the wall behind service desk here and gives basic service price. Anything wrong they will tell you and give you prices up front.

Hi just had my 2012 LR4 in for the 45K service - including tax 452.57. Oil and filter change plus cabin filters changed. Inspected just about everything. I asked them to find the cause of a growling noise behind the dash and the discovered trapped leaves when they changed the cabin filter. Problem solved. I also approved a 4 wheel alignment at 149.95.
Great car absolutely no issues.

Prices are going up!
In Oct 2013 a 4-wheel alignment was $99.99 at the dealer (SE PA).
In Oct 2014 a 4-wheel alignement for another LR was billed at $129.99.
Now I just got a mailer for a "special" on a 4-wheel alignment at $139.99.
Rates were $106, then $112, and today they are $118 per hour. Seems like some kind of automatic increase schedule to me!
Local LR specialistic is $93/hr and another local LR "capable" mechaninc (mostly 05 and earlier capable) is $60/hr.
I wish I had more time do deal with the LR's. I used to do a lot of self-maintenance but I just can't seem to buy a minute of spare time anymore! I guess that is why they charge what they do - pay the most to get it done quickly and properly with documentation, or pay a little less to get it done well and/or with parts of your choice within a few days, or pay even less to get it done mostly right within a week, but with some potential quirks if you are not standing on the guy's head the whole time...
