Default LR4 Low Beam Lights Will Not Come On

Hey All,

I have had my 2012 LR4 for a month now with no issues. Sunday evening when it got dark, I realized the automatic lights were working on the interior but had no low beam lights. I turned the light button to the "On" position and had no luck with my low beam lights either. I tried restarting the car with no luck and have checked the fuses associated with the external lights and all of the fuses are good. The interior, blinker, running, fog, and high beam lights are working. Does anyone have any suggestions on what other components I need to look at to solve this issue?

Stupid question, but do you have anything stuck on your windshield blocking the sensor?

tool road pass, etc?

Nah, no stupid questions when it comes to problem solving.

I do not have anything on the windshield. They do not come on even when the switch is selected to the "On" mode.

Maybe as simple as both bulbs burned out?

Weirder things have happened.

I guess I would be checking for power at the connector for the headlight.

I would test the bulbs before you go any further. They are inexpensive. I found that some of the 'higher performance' brighter bulbs would burn out in an incredibly short period (like 3 months of normal use). So I went back to the standard ones which lasted for years. So actually quite possible that both just failed at a similar time

Eg I used the "Philips H11 Vision Upgrade Headlight Bulb with up to 30% More Vision". Loved the light quality and brightness. But the first pair did 3 months and the next 5 months...

Default Any clues?

Have the same problem (low beams both out). Replaced both bulbs - no luck. Anyone know which relay/fuses to check (manual isn't helpful).

Sorry for the really delayed response - strangely enough it was both bulbs at the same time.

What was the issue? Did you fix it? I have the same issue both low beams went out at the same time, seems odd that both headlights would go out at the same time.

I had this too. There are no fuses or relays involved - it uses MOSFETs only. I changed both bulbs as all was well but never found out why they went or why they went simultaneously. Yet another example of LR not having a clue with electrics
