Default LR4 Oil pan gasket & coolant leak

So I purchased my first Land Rover last week and it’s already at the shop lol. Went to take it to get a fresh oil change and they noticed an oil pan gasket leak and a small coolant leak they couldn’t identify in the time they had it. (Said they would need to put it under pressure in order to locate it). I stuck a piece of cardboard under the engine overnight and this is the amount of oil it’s leaking.

They quoted me $1600 to replace the gasket. It’s a $30 part so wondering if anyone has replaced one on their own and if anyone has any advice on the coolant situation.

thanks!

Do you see what’s involved to replace the gasket? Have a look underneath.
Seems expensive but not outlandish to me.

I’d go with replacing with. Mine had oil drip into the alternator which eventually killed it ahead of its time. 3k to change alternate and the oil gasket

Hello, I have a similar problem, but I still can't get it, first of all, my 2011 LR4 has a leak, apparently it falls right parallel to the driver's wheel, it can be seen there, when you drive it for 30 to 40 minutes and then turn it off, it starts. There is smoke in that same area (around the wheel) and it smells like coolant. I have installed the scanner and it doesn't give me a code that the engine has any missfire in any cylinder. I don't know if it could be the gasket or something similar. To what you comment here, I appreciate any suggestions.

You're not going to get codes for leaks nor would that have anything to do with misfires. It's quite common for the valve covers to leak on these AJ engines and drip on the exhaust and thus smoke. And coolant leaks are quite common as well. Get a proper pressuriser and watch for coolant leaks.
