From what I inspected, the failed crossover pipe both failed at the seam but more heavily where it inserted into the engine. It was literally deep fried and disintegrating.

100% these two pipes should have been formed with aluminum. In fact, there is a pretty good market demand for any of the aftermarket companies to make one.
