These w
these were factory lr4 running boards installed in 2014. Land Rover claiming corporate claiming this is normal wear and tear for this item. Does anyone have any recommendations for a suitable replacement for running boards or side steps.
mcorbin, thanks for the quick reply. My LR3 friend already has the set of mounting brackets he picked up off a LR3 which had high centered mangling the running boards but not the brackets, a $35 price "you remove" from a private party. This morning I received an email with these running boards below found on Ebay, he's pulled the trigger on them. Labor on me helping with installing as well if any "fine tuning" and preventive reinforcement gussets are required plus that perfect fit due. He sa how I reinforced as well made to properly fit my running boards on the 95 D1 vs others with them drooping down due to LR's cheap mounting tabs which the 90* tabs straighten out as well crack. With my case the factory boards were good for only a 60 pound kid, now 450 pound bier drinker solid as a rock and level plus up tight and snug to the body. Tig, Mig, Plasma, sheet metal brakes and shears as personal tools. Someone will / should snag your boards as they are a quick and easy stud replacement repair.
