Default LR4 strange tinny metal sound when wheel rotates right rear

Hi All,

Have a strange light metal type sound from right rear on each wheel rotation, in straight line.
Have attached a photo , but looked under and nothing obviously loose.

Cant upload the video to show sound, but its like a bell or thin metal type flicking sound each wheel rotation.

Appreciate if anyone has a clue as Im down in France this next 4-6 weeks...

The only thing I can think that triggered it was I went over a slightly high curb, but nothing that I would say would damage anything, but may have triggered a loose 'something'

I would take a look at the dust shield behind the rotor, maybe that got pushed in a little and is hitting. If you say it comes with each wheel rotation jack up it and rotate the wheel by hand to help locate it.

You can see part of it, just to the outside of the rotor. Take a long screw driver and just try pushing it in and see if the sound changes after

Look from the outside of the wheel into the slot in the wheel. The big round disk in there is the rotor. There is a dust shield behind that, you can see it at the outer edges of the rotor.

update: took to a garage today for a quick visible check and they said oil fluid is leaking right on the gear box , he went under and wiggled the axle (or shaft perhaps), and it made the same metal sound.

perhaps it’s low on fluids? I can only assume it’s not good to drive any more until it gets to a garage? Would I have done any perm damage since yesterday , have driven about 5 miles with this noise
