Default LR4 vs LR3 Comfort / Ride Comfort

Hi there!

For those who have driven both D3 and D4, in terms of "ride comfort": which one is better?

When I say comfort, I mean seat quality / cushiness but also overcoming bumps and potholes on the roads, suspension on bumpy terrain, etc?

I currently have a Discovery 2 but I feel the seats are too "hard" and the air suspension doesn't absorb road imperfections too much.

Cheers!

So far I'm finding my D3 to be more comfortable than my D4 was. But seats wise the D2 seats are much softer and more comfortable in my opinion. But the air suspension really absorbs the bumps so well.

Interesting that you find your D2's seats softer - thanks for the reply.

not really helpful to your question, but the seats in my 2000 P38 Range Rover are by far more comfortable than the seats in the 2004 D2, the 2011 LR4, and the 2008 Range Rover.

Great to hear, thanks! I have being eyeing a P38 too... so might do a test drive as well.

And surprised that seat comfort of a 2008 Range Rover is inferior to a P38 - is that a Vogue? Or a Sport?

Cheers

the P38 is a HSK. the 2008 Range Rover is a HSE full size. the 2008 RR isn't uncomfortable and the cooled seats are really nice. but, the P38 seat cushions are just the most comfortable.
