Default LR4. Will not start

stopped for gas. Left radio running for wife while I filled up.

tried to start, and it just clicks and tons of messages come on the dash.

tried jumping, not sure we had a good ground on jumping vehicle, but did get spark activity when connecting ground.

still wouldn’t crank.

any ideas, still probably the battery?

Well, got Titan down and jumped the LR4. Cranked immediately.

drove straight to Autozone and battery checked ok.

any ideas. How finnicky are the starters on these trucks

How old is the battery. Not sure I trust those car parts battery testers. The LR4 is v sensitive to low battery levels. But the radio shouldn't run it down that quickly. So assuming your alternator and charging system is working ok, then almost certainly the battery. See how old it so (usually a sticker on it). But I'd replace it

I’ll check to see if there is a date on the battery. It says Land Rover on it so probably the original. I’m the second owner.

the truck has been running fine since.

really weird.

odyssey PC1350. We put them in all the LR3/LR4. It’s not what their site will tell you that is needed, this one is bigger.
