Having purchased a new '12 LR4 I am ever curious of this and that and today's questions centered around the navigation system.

When starting the Nav system off of the menu, a link is provided to the Navtek web site that allows you to purchase updated maps. My question is, how does one know what version is currently installed in the vehicle so one can determine whether or not to invest $300 bucks in the latest version. I could find no menu items that indicated version info.

Any ideas?

The dealer has the capacity to look at a special screen. it takes a special code. We can tell you the month but most people wait four to five model years before replacing them.
