Hey there, I just acquired a 2015 LR4 V8, decent vehicle, been well maintained and looked after.
Only a couple of cosmetic issues which I want to get sorted.

1. Drivers door, top sill has a couple of wear holes in it, hoping an upholstery repairer can sort it. I've looked for a replacement door panel online but it seems they all have the same issue.
2. Want to get Apple CarPlay capability, found a module online that can sort it for around $350.

Looking forward to using it as I've been on the fence about one for a while, any recommendations for accessories like bike racks for the tow hitch would be welcome. Does anyone have any recommendations for offroad places in NY state?

The install was a little fiddly, I now have excellent knowledge of dash removal and re-install. The instructions that came with the unit were a little sparse, we had alot of dialogue with DMP and after a small technical glitch, a software update that needed to be done to the unit, it works fine.

Note to add: You do lose some functionality like some of the buttons on the steering wheel, but its a good sacrifice for having the CarPlay.

 

I managed to find a door panel at a salvage yard in Rhode Island, for about $165 and it was in great condition. Some swearing and sweating removing the door panel and swapping out the various bits off the original door, it looks great again! Managed to break the door lock cable end, ordered a new one but this looks like a larger job so at the moment, I'll leave it until it becomes a problem. If anyone has any pointers on how to replace that easily, I'm all ears.

A few months in and loving the LR4!
