Default Lr4 doesn't like being in drive anymore

Hello everyone, first post on the forum!! So, yes when trying to select drive, gear slowly pushes itself back to neutral, from what I understand a linkage seizes up, is it a relatively easy fix, or could there be more too it?!

Try this $40 repair first. It made my shifter feel like new again.

Try lubricating it. Mine was doing the same, sprayed some silicone lubricant on the linkage and its been fine - I reapply every year. I have the kit above but never installed it yet.

I’ll give this a try thanks DT, is it easy to access, just one panel to remove, to get at it?!
