Default Oil Leak

New LR4 owner here, had it for just over a month now, and today I noticed a small spot on the driveway which I suspected was oil. I pulled it into the garage, and got underneath to take off the skid plate. Yup, I have a leak. Its too wet everywhere for me to tell where it is coming from, I am going to wipe it down and hopefully I can pinpoint the issue. I checked underneath when I bought it and everything was dry, and had no issues driving from CT back to upstate NY.

Is there anything common that can easily be addressed or am I doomed. Anxiety levels are high.....

My guess would be the passenger side valve cover gasket as it's a common issue. Another common leak is the upper timing chain cover. Both of mine developed leaks and were repaired. Another concern will be that these leaks drip oil directly into the alternator and will kill it. (Yes, I know first hand) You can read more about that here:

I just paid $2500 for my local dealer to repair these 2 leaks. It's beyond my DIY skills and requires a special tool to pull the injectors. I did buy a new alternator for $400 from Atlantic British instead of the dealer OEM version for $900. Not sure where you are in upstate NY, but Lucky 8 in Clarence, NY may be able to help you at a lower cost than any dealer.
