Default One headlight down

I noticed my passenger side headlight was dim and yellowish looking for the past short while. Yesterday I noticed it was not working at all. The driver side is working fine. Replaced the bulb with an H7 thinking that might be the issue but nothing. I was constantly replacing the bulbs on my previous LR3 so didn't take more than a few minutes!

Any idea what would cause a fading light leading to not working at all?

2011 LR4 HSE.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will try and check that tomorrow. I believe the ground point is in the front wheel well under the shroud?

best of luck. Dim and yellowish implies failing bulb or raised resistance to me.

@kameag If it turns out to be a failed headlamp unit I have a set for sale in the marketplace off of my 2011 LR4. They are halogen, I had upgraded mine to Xenon. Worked great when I took them off.

OK, time to eat some crow. Replaced the H7 bulb and low beam still didn't work. Looked up the wiring diagram for the plug and confirmed there was voltage for low beam. Looked at headlight a second time and realized I had just replaced the high beam! Hah. I automatically thought the larger portion was low beam.

So ordered the 2 pack of HID bulbs from Amazon, replaced the low beam and it worked fine.

For Canadians, a single HID and Canadian Tire was $149, but the 2 pack from Amazon was $49. Was thinking of buying the single so I could fix it same day but thought if the colour is different from working side would look silly. Glad I did as the colour was indeed different so replaced both.

No but it’s a Land Rover. How long do they need to last?

Just replaced my H11 low beams. Previous set were NAPA brand and only a few years old. Disappointed they didn't last longer. New lights are Sylvania (Osram) brand from Advanced Auto. Manufactured in Germany, as all the best LR parts are, ha! We'll see how they last.
