Hi all,

Long time reader, first time poster. Have a Permanent P2185 code in my 2011 LR4 HSE 5.0L AJ133 (Coolant Temp Sensor 2 High Side). This came on about a week after I had the water pump and thermostat replaced due to a leaking water pump. I had the coolant temp sensor at the thermostat replaced the other day, however the code is still coming up as Permanent.

Thinking now about swapping the other coolant temp sensor on the rear crossover pipe. Does the intake have to come off to access this sensor, or can it be accessed from the sides/rear?

Also, how sensitive are the ECUs in these trucks to aftermarket sensors? I bought the cheap WVE brand coolant temp sensor off RockAuto but I can replace it with a JLR sensor (4603183) if you guys think it might make a difference.
