My worn light just came on, and I'm going to replace the pads at least soon. My mechanic is all about the OEM pads, although I've found them mighty dusty. I had some ceramic on before, but they tend to squeal a decent amount.
Rotors he recommended akebano and another, which is odd as he typically always uses OEM parts.
Should I do rotors too when I'm taking out the pads? I have a bit of a shimmy sometimes while braking, but I'm not sure how to tell if the rotors need to be replaced or not.
