Had an issue a month back where our 2016 LR4 battery completely died. Couldn't unlock to hood to jump until we got inside the car. We tried using the physical key inside the fob and couldn't get it to turn/unlock to the point I was convinced I'd break the key turning it any more. Called AAA to help open

Fast forward I went ahead and made a new physical key from an automobile locksmith that would give me more confidence in turning it without breaking

The key inserts fine and I can lock the car with the key itself but cannot unlock it. Does this have something to do with the car alarm? Or is this something within the door/actuator?
