2015 LR4 HSE - So I have the ability to insert a DVD in the front (main) console head unit and watch the video on the front main screen. Saturday I found the "secret" screen menus which show that the RSE 1 & 2 systems are available (presumably a head unit function) but not initialized. So my question is, if I purchase a set of the headrest DVD units, where & how will the wiring run plug into - somewhere under the seats/center console, or the main head unit? And if plugged in will the system initialize (see them automatically) or will I have to use my IID to turn the systems on?

Yes. By that i mean that to do the rear seat entertainment system would have required a lot of extra parts, wiring & changes which were neither in my budget or timeline of to-do's. So I wont be going down that path with this vehicle.
