The remote on a 2011 LR4 did not seem to communicate with the LR4. Per the owner's manual, I placed the remote, buttons down, up against the three raised lines on the driver's right side under the steering column cover. After a minute or two, the truck responded and started up. It would not lock or unlock the truck. I put in a new battery but it didn't seem to make a difference. Has anyone experienced their remote failing to communicate with the LR4? thanks Phil

Don't take offense because I have to throw it out there, but did you verify the polarity on the battery is correct (i.e. facing the proper way)?
