Default RH F&R carpet soaking edge wet when parked, not driving

Truck was parked and not driven. Heavy downpour. After the rain passed opened front a rear RH doors and found the carpet at the sill bottom edge completely sopping wet, including the carpet mats but the middle of the carpets dry and the front carpet dry on the 45 degree footwell slope. Door cards appeared dry as well so it appears water defied gravity and traveled up the sill and to the carpet.

Or
the sunroof leaks, or
the seal around the front windscreen, or
the seal around the moonroof...

Is the headliner wet anywhere? Any drips on the dash or seats?

Headliner dry, on windscreen #6, no leaks. Not the sunroof, had a 2009 Range Rover Autobiography years ago with the clogged drains AND leaking windscreen. Carpet ONLY soaked at the edge, on the RH side. It's done it before, driving through deep water and at that time assumed faulty door seals but this time the vehicle was parked when it happened. Heavy rain for an hour then sun came out and that's when I saw the water and I mean extremely soaked, pressing the carpet like squeezing a wet towel. I tried a pressure washer but could not duplicate the leak. Managed to get water to drain from the outside of the door windows and out the bottom of the doors. Going to keep trying, maybe a hose rather than high pressure.

Any signs the door was removed and reseated? Is the weather stripping misconfigured? out of shape? Overly compressed? If you put vaseline on the stripping and shut the door, does it leave a smear on the vehicle?

On an LR4, first bet on water ingress is leaking or detached, or clogged sunroof drain tubes.

I had the A-pillar exterior moldings off… on LR time there was some comment about sealing a hole on the pillar to stop leaks.
I have the hole, but no leak. There is a tsb but I don’t know what it is…

TSB = technical service bulletin

This one is for the D3, not sure if there is one for the D4 https://landroverforums.com/forum/at...water-leak.pdf

Thank you Mr Obvious, lol. I know what the acronym TSB means. What I don’t know is the particular number.
Thanks for the morning chuckle!

Cheers

well, I’m first to admit that English is not my first language but the way the sentence was constructed implied something else ….

kind regards,

UPDATE:

Truck sat outside in a 15 minute downpour. The weather completely cleared immediately after and I went to check the floor, opened the door and water was pouring out. Used a shop vac and removed 2 gallons of water.

Here's a video
