Default Slow to shift when cold?

Looking at a well serviced 2012 LR4 HSE HD from a distance, and spoke with the guy today and he told me that he noticed this week when starting the vehicle that it seems to be slow/laggy to shift when the rig is cold, but after it gets warmed up there is zero issues.

I'm aware it's hard for anyone to give a mechanical diagnosis here but, is this a common thing or a red flag of a larger issue?
