My wife noticed white smoking coming from the Driver side A Pillar this morning. Does anyone have any clues? It has turned cold here so she was using the heated windshield this morning. That’s the only thing I could thing of. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I think the plug for the windshield is behind the A-pillar trim. You may want to pop it off and have a look. Heater Circuits usually carry high amperage, which coupled with poor connections, generate lots of heat. Its why the blower motor connections are causing BMWs to catch fire.

 

By Heater you mean the strips in the front windshield correct?
