Sudden Unanticipated Acceleration (SUA)
HELLO ALL!
My family and I enjoyed my 2010 LR4 for several years until it tried to kill my wife and daughter. We are now almost 1 year out from their accident where the engine revved up to high RPMs and my wife could not brake properly. The brake became stiff and the only control she had was steering. There are many reports of this on here and they are considered SUA (sudden unanticipated acceleration). My wife had to intentionally crash the car at 60 mph + into cliff to safe our daughters life. This is no joke!!
Every time I see an older LR4 in Austin Tx area I want to warn them. Luckily my wife is starting to walk again now 14 months after the event and my daughter is also fine but I think this is very bad danger for other LR4 owners, especially after reading many similar stories on here. I am considering CLASS ACTION law suit and just wanted to see if there are any other people in similar situation.
The main thing is that my wife is fine but if you looked at her leg that she limps on currently, it looks like a great white shark attacked her. I think LandRover is hiding something. Anyone with similar issues please comment here! Thank you!
will never buy a land rover again!

That is really scary, I am glad everyone is ok. After a quick search I see one other instance of this on a 2013 LR4, but not much else out there. Do you have links to other reports? I am curious to learn more. Is this only an occurrence with the N/A V8?
