Sun visor replacement
Hello all - I'm trying to help my brother in law...
We need to replace the drivers side sun visor on his 2012 LR4 as the mirror door broke off and the lights aren't working any more. I've done this on GM cars but never on a Land Rover. Its in North Carolina and I'm in New Jersey but I'll be down there in a couple of weeks and he asked if I can help him out as he's a great cook but not too good with tools.
Can someone here tell me how this thing gets taken down so I can install the replacement? I don't see any exposed screws in the picture, is there a plug or panel I have to pop out to get to them? (I'm hoping I don't have to mess with the headliner) Should i bring my Torx tools or is it just a phillips?
Also - is the electrical plug for the lights accessible or does it make more sense to splice the new one in so I don't have to mess with the headliner? Is this a common issue with the lights burning out or should I be looking for a bad fuse?
Any information anyone here could give would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance!
