I’m looking at buying the plans to have one of the Tinker CamperBox materials cut for self install after. Is anyone familiar with his product? It looks great, and lightweight. I’ve done some shelves myself, but never been real happy with the end product. I’m trying to figure out how much it would cost to have the parts cut by CNC here in St Louis from the plans I purchase and material I provide. I’ll do assembly and finishing myself.
Here’s a link to the camper box website. I’m considering the 470 so it has room for the refrigerator built in.
T_bx is a campingbox dedicated to the Land Rover Discovery 3-4. When unfolded, apart from the kitchen and utility function, it csn be used as a sleeping place for two people. tinkerlrd.wixsite.com
These look pretty nice. This type of set up is next on my list... I would alter a tad. I woudl have a cut out placed so the refrigerator could be located wearer the middle seat on the second row is now. Allowing access during a drive by the front passanger without the need to stop. Plus this, to me is a better use of space. Also allowing for more stages off the back.
Good luck keep us posted
Yeah, my current set-up has the fridge mounted 2nd row middle, which is nice while driving 16+ hours to a destination. But I think I'd rather have it accessible in the back next to the camp kitchen as it's rarely used while driving. That being said, my current fridge is an old Edgestar that has lasted over 10 years now and wouldn't fit in the 470 model that has a built in fridge door. I will probably get a titling or lowering slide to mount on top of the drawers if it would fit. I need to do some measuring.
