Default Touch Screen not working 2010 LR4

the touch screen in my 2010 LR4 just flashes the "Land Rover" name. On for about 2 seconds then off for about 30 seconds, then back on and off.. I took into dealership and said we need a new screen. I ordered a used one from ebay and put it in - it does the same as my old one. Any idea? I have already done the hard restart - still not working.

Hello AlexNLA, I have the same issue on my LR D4 2010.

The first time it happened was it was out for about 2 weeks. Then without notice started working fine again for about 5 months. Now it's been about 2 weeks and only very occasionally does it 'boot' up.

I did speak with a mechanic and he seemed to suggest that it was trying to reboot but something preventing it. Perhaps a wire that was a bit lose or something.

Just wondering if you were able to fix it and if so how?

Jono

we had the same problem. It turned out to be a bad head unit (the part that includes the cd player). Dealer wanted $3,000 for the job. The part will need to be programmed for your vehicle. I found a used one and put it in, wouldn't work. I found a local auto electric shop that got it dialed in. They set it up and programmed it for our vehicle. Works great. As I recall they charged me about $400 to $500. Part was $200 or so and included a screen as well. I do have an extra working screen if that is what is needed. Local shop here in San Diego was Luxe Electric. They are incredible. There is an auto electric shop in Van Nuys up in the LA Area, Hi-Tech Electronics Service, that will also program the part. HiTech will also receive mail-in repairs. Good luck. Phil

I had the same thing on my 2010, had to replace the head unit. Was about $750 installed from Short Circuit in San Jose.
